The residents of Pampore township in Pulwama district of south Kashmir on Friday offered funeral prayers in absentia for slain Kashmir chief of militant outfit Lashkar-e-Toiba Abu Ismail and his associate Abu Qasim killed in a gunfight in Aribagh area of Nowgam in Srinagar.
Reports said that scores of people gathered in the lawns of Khankah-e-Maula soon after the culmination of Friday prayers and offered prayers for the slain militants.
Later, they carried out a peaceful protest rally to Namblabal chowk amid pro-freedom and anti-India slogans.
